It also gives you something useful and meaningful to do with those probes. ![]() That might sound intimidating, but don't worry. In other words, don't expect your remote ship (with no pilot) to have full control when landing on the far-side of the Mun, unless you have a CommNet system set up around the Mun. If your ship drifts out of line-of-sight with Kerbin (or goes too far from Kerbin, depending on the size of the ship's antenna and how much you've upgraded the Kerbal Space Center's communication base), you'll lose some control functionality with probes - unless, the ship is in line-of-sight of relay antenna, that can can act as a go-between between your ship and Kerbin.
